just bought a Mac Mini 1.42 for £300!!

thats right, chappy at work bought it from apple about 2 weeks ago and no longer wants it so sold it to me for £300 hehe

specs are as :

1.42GHz
512Mb (apple installed)
80gb
combo drive

came boxed like new

i now have 3 all together now plus my iBook , think i'm being a little greedy but i had to have it at that price

he bought it for vid editing with a iffy copy of final cut pro , and all was going well untill he had problems with sound on a mpeg 2 file ? he tried the same thing on his PC and it worked no problem so out with the mac back to the PC

mind you he did say that he loved the way the mac works - i can see him getting another mac at a later stage thou

didn't see the" £" there... thought you got it for $300, which would have been an even better deal. ;)

once i find a new job, i hope to have an envious decision between G5 iMac and 20" LCD + mini. :p
