itunes makes my curser jump!

I have a 17" G4 Powerbook. Lately when I'm listening to itunes my curser gets jumpy and hard to control. I've tried cleaning the trackpad, but it doesn't change anything.
It only seems to happen when itunes is open. I'm running OS 10.2

Any help you can offer would be appreciated!
