As much as I love the iMac G5 I need some portability as well so.....it may well have to go. Brief specs;
iMac G5 1.6ghz 17" Combo model.
Week 45 production '04. 90 day telephone support still applies. Receipt as well.
I added another 256mb to take it to a more reasonable 512mb. Hard Drive is the standard 80gig. NO DEAD PIXELS. No marks, scrapes,stains or chips. On reading various forums it looks like I'm one of the more fortunate ones who has an iMac that does not whine at a high pitched tone nor does it have any turbo fan noise. In fact it is very quiet. Keyboard and mouse are mint as well. Original discs,box,paperwork,stickers,etc. included.
I have just run the Hardware test disc to satisfy myself completely and, of course, it passed. The new ram has helped turn it to quite a speedy beast.
Now that the Powerbook line has been updated I fancy either a 1ghz 12" or 1.33 ghz 12". Must be as mint as possible and have airport extreme. Obviously a cash adjustment either way depending on spec, condition,etc.
It may well be a shot in the dark but if anyone in the UK fancies a change then this is the time to speak up.
I have previously sold 2 different laptops, an ipod and an Airport Extreme base station on these forums. The customers were very happy (and no doubt they will shout out in this thread if not!!). I am a Gold trader elsewhere as well.
Photos can be provided but they will be a bit crap as I'll have to use my camera phone (waiting on a Canon Powershot).
Any questions give me a shout. As I have said due to weight this trade is UK ONLY.
