Hi

I need more USB ports for my G4/933. I thought installing USB2 pCI card in my G4 to get more transfer speed with the USB2 ports.

Will it work at normal USB2 transfer speed or it will be fast as USB1 ?

If it works, any PCI brand recommendations ?

I would buy from www.macsales.com or Lacie / Macally

I think Adaptec sells one at Compusa which is labeled OSX compatible (but dont quote me on it). I believe you need 10.3+ or 10.2.6+

It should run just fine at 2.0 speeds.

I bought an el cheapo $15 2-port USB 2.0 PCI card for my G4 at my local Microcenter and it works fine. You should be able to get a 4-port card for $30-50. If you go with a fancy brand like Sonnet it will cost more.
