Amazing story about a very old, 22 pound lobster. ;)
Another group calling itself People For Eating Tasty Animals ...
"If you sat down and ate this thing, wouldn't that be a bit shellfish?"

That's sad. When will he be boiled? Are you supposed to bring butter to the wake, or is it provided?
Seriously, though, if true, that sucks. 100 years old, dies soon after being caught.

I heard that he was 50 years old and not 100. Anyways, that is sad news. I would love to eat, oh I mean, meat, no, meet it.

How is it the zoo's fault? It was probably the constant change he was enduring and his accelerated age. Now he can be reunited to another famous lobster - 'Larry' - from the old SNL skit (vague reference alert) ;)

i don't think it was the zoos fault, at least they were trying to give him a better life
better than living in a fish tank waiting to be someones dinner

i think cnn also has an article in its science section saying how there was research done in sweededn or somewhere that lobsters dont feel anything when they are being cooked.

Yep, it was the zoos fault.
"He dodged lobster pots for decades, endured a trip from the coast of Massachusetts to Pittsburgh and survived about a week in a fish market. But a trip to the zoo proved to be too much for a 22-pound lobster named Bubba."
I hold the zoo fully responsible.
I plan to sue.

Of course, if they had just did the media thing and then released him back into his natural habitat in a timely manner, he might have lasted another 50 years, who knows.
Yup, it's sad, it's dead, it's time to bronze it and stick it on eBay.

Hm, looks like they won't be bronzing Bubba and sticking him on eBay after all:
Bubba to live on as shell of former self (http://www.cnn.com/2005/TECH/science/03/04/leviathan.lobster.ap/index.html)

At least he will live on through his shell. Must have been very smart to have avoided capture for all that time. The meat probably would have been tough anyway. :D
