iMac G5s take only mem3200, a slower speed liek 2700 would not be recognized. You don't have a superdrive either because the 1.6GHz iMac never had the option for one, you could only get it with a combodrive. The iMac G5 was announced the last week in August 2004, which means it has been out a max of 7 months, making every one in existance covered under the one year warranty. But you said you have the apple care warranty, so it is covered for 3 years. There was however a 1.6GHz G5 out 15 months back, and it came in a big aluminium case...

This is the G5 1.6 in the large G5 typical case. It uses pc2700 ram and does have a Superdrive. I see you edited your post, as this is not an I-mac. The specs are correct.

Final day for trades. If you have anything of value, LMK. I am going to make a decision tonight. Anything higher end will be considered. This system is in immaculate condition folks. I am also looking for Larger Mac Displays, Fully Loaded Mac-Mini, IBooks, Laptops, Duallies, Dual G4 Systems, (A good Dual G4 I would absolutely consider in Good Condition), Large Laptop H/D's and also good KVM Switch with DVI a plus, also high end speakers and FX Processor & Motherboard. This system is worth it, and for the right trade, I may even up the ram further..
