I'm looking to buy some speakers for the PC. All I need is a 2.1 system and I like the Creature and Soundsticks but they're above my budget right now.

Anyone have any suggestions from personal use? Budget is max $50...

The Logitech Z-3 setup sounds halfway decent, and they were $44.95 at Amazon, with free shipping, when I ordered them a couple of weeks ago. I like them quite a bit. Lotsa reviews available out of the web.

They won't blow your socks off, but they sound pretty good for $45, and they're not ugly either, unlike a lot of inexpensive speakers.

Altec Lansings are always awesome in my opinion check out the ATP3 series, they shouldnt cost too much and sound great, ive been using them for a while with no problems

also try searching the forums, i know this has been brought up before

I found a good 5.1 setup for around $50 shipped on Amazon. Don't know if you want to stick to 2.1....this seems like a really good deal. It is a [Logitech X-530] 6-piece system. Worth a look, in any case. [Logitech X-530] (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0002WPSCG/ref=ase_wwwidogiftsco-20/103-6540739-9843855?v=glance&s=electronics)
