well even though I was born in the later half of the 70's...I still remember most of these toys listed...

my favorite of them was Legos :D

absolutely lego! I had a huge box of the stuff in the 70s, 1000s of pieces. Wish I still had it today...oh well.

My wife bought me a Star Wars X-Wing Lego set a couple of xmases ago - great fun putting that together - the nostalgia of looking at the assembly instructions again - no words, just make you thing look like the one in the picture....:D

LEGOs! without a doubt, im now an architect and legos had most of the fault on my desicion of what career i should choose :D i still have 5 or 6 boxes but i rarely use it, about a year ago i a made a proposal for a stage design of a child play and the model was made with legos and all the scenery movements was planiffied playing with those legos. i still enjoy to build things with my little cousin lego's , its one of the truth inter-generation games:)

But the amazing thing about Lego is that its still around and better than ever. I'm just waiting for them to do the robot kit for Macs and I'll probably go out and get one. Very cool stuff.

What other toy has lasted decades? And still held on to kids imaginations?

Not in any particular order:

• Lego
• Meccano
• Matchbox Cars
• Tonka Trucks
• Six-Million Dollar Man Doll
• My Rugby ball...
