.Mac retail box at renewal

My .mac renewal is due soon and they want the full price (£69.99) for the online renewal. If I buy the .Mac box at the store it's currently £49.99. Can I use the code off the box at the renewal and get it cheaper?

Yeah. Just log in and go to your account and tick the renew option. You'll see an option for your credit card or for a serial number from the box. Type it in and it will update your expiry date by 12 months.
