I haven't, but thanks for the tip.

I've scoured ebay but people pay silly money for Macs on there, often close to the new price. They don't seem to have any concept of value or depreciation! I'm not looking to pay peanuts, just a fair price.

I hope Apple update the Power Mac line soon so more second hand machines come on to the market!

Their value is what people are prepared to pay. Macs hold this value a lot longer than other computers. Don't expect second-hand PC prices...

Of course, value is in the pocket of the beholder. I certainly don't expect PC prices having traded much Apple hardware in my time. But I've seen countless old G5s selling for close to or the same as the equivalent new higher spec model :confused: This is frustrating for a buyer such as myself, but obviously great for the sellers.

Anyway, anyone wanting to shift an old Power Mac G5 in the UK, I'm ready and waiting!

when the powermacs get updated, that apperently will be soon, i am sure you will find lower prices on used modles.
