just had a thought, do i only technially "switch" when i tis delivered, or does the fact that i am now poor :( mean that i am already one???

Congratulatuons!

I think you qualify as a switcher from the moment of ordering... ;)

Good for you there's a new computer on its way, there seems to be a couple of keys that hangs a bit on your old one... :p

I bought the exact same spec PB, only Rev c. and it's the best computer I ever bought. I love it more than my dual 1.8Ghz G5. Congrats on a wise purchase.

Although you may be poor now, you are saving money in the long run.

I love my 15" PB, but if I had it to do over I'd probably go for the 12". That's a LOT crammed in there!

Welcome!

Welcome in from the rain.. it's warm and dry in here.

I wonder what percentage of current mac users are switchers within the last 3 years?

Did someone just ask for a poll ? I think they did. So show it to me. And in about a month my GF will be a switcher. Woo Whoo buckaroo !

Sweet. You picked an awesome machine - one that I may move to when I dump my (almost) 3 year old Ti PB. Come back if you have any questions, we're here to help.

Technically, are you a Switcher if you don't get rid of your PC? I'm not a Switcher, but I am an Adder.

(No, not the snake.)

cheers guys, im really looking forward to a brighter, fruitier (couldn't help myself) future :) i shall hopefully never have to touch my PC ever again...never!

i think i will get tiger through the OS update scheme or whatever its called, but at the moment i just cant wait for the week to pass!!!!! i figure its probably best to upgrade when the initials bugs have been ironed out, and use panther to get used to the OS in the meantime.

a fruity future indeed!

IMO, you've made an excellent decision there.
