I'm trying to install newer system software on a beige desktop G3/233, but the machine will not start up from any CD. The old CD-ROM was broken, and a new CD-RW drive has been installed (workes perfectly), but it will not start up from any bootable CD. I have tried 8.6, 9.2 and X. Disk First Aid reports that there is a «key» error of some sorts...
Any ideas???
