B) I support allowing people to do what they wish with there social security funds within certain boundaries. Well, with the terrorism threats we have today, the CIA is authorized and expected to do whatever they deem necessary to prevent it. I heard something where every phone is monitered by a computer looking for keywords. If you say a certain word or combination of words the computer reports you to the CIA or FBI or some authority. You are then monitered full time as being "suspicious". This is freaky, but probably necessary.

Kross. The reason that the republicans are in an uproar is because the Dems are doing their typical mediscare and socialscare stactis with the old people. Fact is the old people in this country hold the majority of the wealth. Fact is that they take more of my money and put into social security than they take in Federal Income Tax. Money that I will never see. Money that I have worked for, money that should be MINE! Bush is proposing allowing us to have control of 2% of our money to invest as we see fit. Why don't the dems want that? It would allow us to invest in out economy. Gee, could that help things right now? It would also remove them from the equation. See the fundamental difference between republican and democrat is that republicans say believe in yourself and work hard and you can get somewhere. IT IS CRAP! Tara and I do not qualify for state assistance for child care because I make to much money. See they did not add our daughters day care cost at the University on time. Now we have to come up with 300 bucks or they kick her out. Well, the state helps people like that. But we make too much money. Yea, I make 30,000$ a year right now. I support my wife and child. I put my wife through college at the University of Alabama. You know what the people said. If we had three kids, or if I only made 20,000 a year, then they would help.

1) The state of Oregen 3 times voted to keep the "mercy killing" law. This allows a doctor assisted suicide for terminally ill, and suffering patients. Gen. A$$Crap in his rightous indignation found he couldn't do anything to defeat the law itself, however he has stated that the Federal Government will procucute the doctor that preforms the assisted suicide, and remove their medical license.

2) The state of California has upheld a law that allows the legal use of Mary Jane for medicinal puposes. Gen. A$$Crap has ordered DEA agents to "raid" these legal establishments. Leaving some in California considering using the States National Guard, to guard these establishments.

As for people whining about how unfair it is that they have to pay more money into a system that they will ever receive back: well, how do you know ? What if you get seriously injured and cannot work anymore ? What if nobody can give you a job (for whatever reason) ? I have said this before: this is not an ideal world, not everyone has the same chances/opportunities, failing economically does not have to come from lazyness...

I think there is still a chance for Democracy if for once voters would educate themselves and use some reason when voting rather then just voting for a) there party or b) who ever looks the most likely to win. People don't want to vote for someone who is obviously a winner. For some reason they feel they are throwing there vote away when in reality they are throwing they're vote away by choosing an obvious winner.

I have said that it upsets me that I pay so much in to Social Security because I don't think I'll ever get to see it. You also have some valid points about disability. My main point is that I want to be able to choose where it is invested so that I have the money in my name and out of the Governments ever greedy/needy hands.
