OS 10.2 install keeps quitting!!!!

Ok, just got a new dual 1 gig mirror, put an old 25 gig drive in one of the ATA-66 bays and want to install OS 10.2 on it and use the 80gig that it shipped with as a media drive for final cut pro.

Put the install disc in, restart start the whole thing and within a few minutes the installer quits to a unix screen saying that the installer quit, please restart computer.

sorta sux I really wnated to get all the installing done today... any thoughts?

what speed is the old 25?

did you wipe it first?

What settings do you have the adressing jumpers set to?

i finally got it to work its just asking for the 2nd install disc now...

i wiped it (again) 1sdt thing this morning

Don't forget to Optimize and fix permissions!:D

There have been some reports that these are issues with or without a clean install.:rolleyes:

If I remember right its like this...When you finish instaling, boot from the Install Cd 1, and in the Instaler Menu, select Disk Utility, select repair permisions, quit the disk utility and then quit the installer.

You're done!

That's permissions alreight.
