Firefox acting up...

I had to switch back to using IE as Firefox (for Windows) has been causing a very annoying problem: at random instances, the application will drive CPU usage up to 100%. I thought it was maybe Norton's that was causing the problem but I opened up task manager and sure enough it was Firefox hogging the CPU.

As soon as I close the app, then everything drops back to normal. What gives? :confused:

Yeah, I had this...

1) Uninstall firefox
2) Install the latest trunk beta (currently, FF is at 1.0.3 or 1.0.2 but 1.0.4 is coming out next, but the TRUNK betas are like 1.1.0...)
3) Download FireTune for Firefox 1.x
4) Tweak firefox
5) Add the Firefox Fast Start icon from FireTune to the desktop
6) Load firefox in safe mode
7) Disable all extentions
8) Run firefox, enable extentions as needed
