Cleaning wireless keyboard?

I searched the forums and couldn't find an answer -

Any suggestions for cleaning the keys on my Apple wireless keyboard? Can I just shut it down and use a commercial cleaner like Windex? The keys are filthy - looks like I never wash my hands !!!
