absolutely not a good deal if it is an 867 proc. The brand new 12 inch with similar specs except an 80 gig HD and the 1.5 ghz proc and it has restore disks with tiger and would have free applecare through 06. I sold an 867 combo drive with apple care about a year ago for under a grand.

That deal is a huge rip off IMHO. I think that computer would be worth about a 1000 USD, so 1250 Canadian.

no go, way too expensive. try something in the 800 dollar range imho. you can buy a better ibook 12 inch for around that!

It's a ripoff. I'd turn one down for any more than $1000.

Have you checked everymac.com? They list a street value for used Macs.

thanks for all the help everyone. Only thing is, I don't believe the apple store offers refurbished ibooks, powerbooks to canadian customers. Either i'm completley blind, or is it only offered through the US store of Apple.

Semi-OT, but thanks for that link! Although I have a hard time believing I could sell my iBook G4 / 12" / 800MHz for $1000....
