Being at WWDC will try to make one perhaps. Out of my area of expertise.

I've started a blog for a certain social experiment that I am running.

I have two blogs (see sig). I also have a vague recollection that there's already a thread about this, but I'm too lazy to look it up.

I have three.

One that is a personal/if anyone cares to read it blog.

One that was for School...My Prof actually let me do my homework and turn it in via the Blog. He loved it so much he wants to make all his classes do it.

One for my friend and I to keep track of our weightlifting. We post up our workouts.

Why would anyone need more than one blog?

I have one, and I can categories and password protect posts.

I used blogger in the past, but it wasn't as powerful as I needed so I installed http://b2evolution.net/ which does everything that I need and more.

Cognitive Daily started as a category within Word Munger. We moved CogDaily to a separate blog when we realized it had commercial potential and wanted to include ads. We also wanted a different look and feel for CogDaily. Now I use Word Munger for my personal-interest posts and CogDaily for psych-related posts.

I have two.

imgettingthinner.blogspot.com , which is my blogging about my attempts to lose all the weight I've put on over the last 6 or so years.

petflunky.blogspot.com is just miscellaneous ramblings about stuff.

Neither on is very interesting, but I do it anyway.

There's DashBlog (http://dashblog.theonelab.com/) or the more impressive looking RapidMetaBlog (http://staff.cofa.unsw.edu.au/blojsom/blog/nigelkersten/scripts/2005/05/01/RapidMetaBlog_Dashboard_Widget.html), which should work with Blogger. Personally, I can't recommend MarsEdit (http://ranchero.com/marsedit/) enough, from the fine people that brought you NetNewsWire (http://ranchero.com/netnewswire/).

I'm currently designing a blog but it's still in its earlyish stages :o (address in profile if anybody wants a gander).

I'm sorry I'm not racist.. I don’t consider them a race (hopefully you caught that as a joke). Out of all fairness is there anything in particular that you'd point out in my blog that seems to rattle the Left wings and Independents so much?.. Or is it more of me coming off as your stereotypical redneck Republican, close minded, Conservative, etc?

I do admit my blog tends to offend people and for that I'm not at all sorry for at all, I just tend to write about how I view society and the life around me and thus why it seems to upset me. If that seem to come off as narrow minded or conservative then I'm definitely willing to listen and learn about what makes others view the same thing in a different way.

If I wanted to stereotype such as you both did then I have some pretty interesting things about you both being from the UK that I'd stereotype about, but alas I wont since that's not my style.

Hmm let's see, was it the reference to "****** child" or "dirty Mexicans" that offended me? I just can't decide. Perhaps it was just the overwhelming feeling that you, seemingly, would like America fenced off from the rest of the world because you are the master race and no-one else deserves to live with you.

Uhm... anyway. The link to my blog, which I started today, can be found in my signature.

Not very interesting. Just personal stuff mostly. The most interesting thing, for me, will be if I remember to update it. It's happened more than once that I've just started some blog with a first post, then forgotten about it.

Blogger was quick'n easy to set up, but seemed somewhat limited. But I don't seriously think I'll need more.

I wont try to justify the things I've said about the African American child and the dirty Mexican comments I've made in my blog because it doesn't take a genius to see that these groups seem to raise children that are prone to violence and criminal activities, whether this is due to being poor or being raised with poor family values is a topic for another discussion. As for closing up the borders I see where you're coming from but you wouldn't appreciate it if people came illegally and by the hundreds of thousands each year to your town or city and started lowering the quality of life, committing criminal acts, starting gangs etc. I have no problem with Mexicans in particular if they came here legally and want to work and work hard to get somewhere in this country but if they're going to be here illegally and causing crime or raising their kids poorly then I don’t want this at all.

My town is being flooded by Mexicans some of which are probably here illegally, don’t have a valid drivers license and/or proof of insurance and their children are left with nothing to do but to group together forming small gangs and causing crime, damaging peoples properties, lowering the property value in the neighborhood and so on and so forth. I guess I'm just sick of seeing these people doing this and the government (bush primarily) for not wanting to acknowledge the problem and make a solution, if Hispanics want to come and work harder for cheaper and try to make a life in this country then I'm all for it but if they're coming in large numbers, illegal and raising children that commit criminal acts then I'm afraid I don’t want that in my town or any other town in America.

It is your place to post what you want, that is what a personal blog is for, however if you actually want the masses to read your posts then you should analyze what you writing and make an attempt to figure out if you may be offending people.

I will not comment on your subject, but personally I don't find the content of your words anywhere near stimulating enough to deal with the rash and uncalled-for language and judgements of other cultures. You are what gives Americans such a bad name accross the globe by not being open-minded and caring. If you hate what is going on DO SOMETHING ABOUT instead of bitc*ing online and sitting on your as* all day. You speak about how if they want to come to this country and work harder and get paid less, how is that fair? If they come here by proper means I hope they get paid more than you, they deserve it.

I made the same generalized judgements and said things I no nothing about in reference to you. Perhaps my post is accurate, perhaps not, I don't know. I have a feeling your post about the people from Mexico immigrating to your city is probably the same, perhaps accurate but perhaps not and I highly doubt you know for a fact.

Like I said, it's your place to post what you want, but if you wany anyone to read it, you might consider your approach. By the way, you lost one reader if you care or not, I'm not heading back.

I concur with other people's assessment. It's one thing to express your "frustrations", or to express an opinion that is less than popular - entirely within anyone's right. but frankly, your language (um, disgusting, hateful racial epithets) is horrifying, and if you're going to link to things like that, you should at least warn people. I'm also sorry that you have so much hate in you that you can't look beyond stereotypes. Sure, you may know of a lot of poorer, illegal immigrants who have a lot of kids who grow up and join gangs, but know what? There's a lot of poor white kids who do the same thing, and a lot of non-poor, legal residents who also do bad things. Like stereotype those who look different than them.

On a purely design front, I thought that having music play within a homepage - without the option to turn it off - stopped being cool in 1998. If it was ever cool.

I don't mind sharing e-stuff with them....no offense MacRy.

It wasn't really a spur of the moment thing because this always interested me, but it sort of got put into the forefront after it popped back into my mind. This very well could be a really n00bed question, but is dictionary.app a Tiger app or is it something that one can download at will? Or worse yet, do I have it in Panther and just cannot seem to find it?

I would love a dictionary to have at will however the only apps I can find are 15-30 USD and I don't want to spend that for the few times the internet is not available to use Merriam Webster or similar.

It's in Tiger i'm afraid.

That is quite alright, just a short time before I join the masses and move there. I'm not overly concerned with it, but on occasion there are times when I would really like to lookup a word for context and multiple definitions and having to go somewhere online all the time is a bit annoying.

dictionary.app does have its own dictionary base offline right? So I can lookup words without an internet connection?
