I had to format my HDD after I put some hacks on my system that made Jaguar go nutz:mad: ,,,At any rate.... I have done this before ;) so it's not that big of a deal!!! So let me get to the point:p I installed Jaguar first and then I tried to install 9.2, but after I boot from the CD, and try to select a destination for install, it doesn't recognize my HDD....just the CD:confused: (I usually install 9.2 first and then Jaguar) WTF?? Can anyone help??

Thanx

9.2 was a classic update that came with the 10.1 installation disk and is an upgrade to 9.1, not a full install. you have to find your old 9.1 disk and re-install that, then do the upgrade to 9.2 (i had to do the exact same thing). i don't think apple ever released 9.2 as a full install, but i may be wrong.

Did you install the OS 9 drivers on the hard disk? If not, OS 9 wont recognize the HD.

i had to reformat a few weeks ago, same problem, couldnt find my hdd, and what i did was boot off the os9 cd. if u cant find that, call up apple care, theyll help u as long as ur within ur warranty.after booting off my os 9 cd, just pop in the six software restore cds that came with the machine. they will install os 9.2 and 10.1.5. after this u can put in ur jaguar cd and everything will be ok.:)
