"And you can't confuse Rimmer with a book. For a start, a book's got a spine."

Lister: "What, they fixed your core program and then decided they'd be better off without you?"
Holly: "Yeah, it was shortly after they met me."
- Lister and Holly, Nanarchy:D

and, no, Rimmer doesn't have a spine:cool:

Mischief, I guess I'll ask which episode the really long one about fish came from.

The Quote involved Cat and a Food Vendor. Rimmer told Cat how to use the Food Machines in exchange for some personal data about Lister..... I could have the espionage backwards: it goes back and forth constantly. It's from the 1st or second season. Same general era as Lister investigating Cat history and becomming Cloister for the Blind old Cat.

Have you seen the Emo-Vamp episode yet?:D There's a great sequence involving Lister, Kriton's Groinal Suck-it and a shrinking pair of boxers....... :D

I think that the quote was from the episode where Lister decided to take the chef's exam.

I might have seen it, but it was a ways back. They took Red Dwarf reruns off the air where I live about 1 year ago. I'll have to check to see if I have it on tape. Did you see the episode with the Curry Monster? Thats a funny one.

I'm still pissed off about that. Lister faked passing the Chef's exam at first so Rimmer would panic over Lister outranking him, he later confessed that he didn't really pass.

Good News! A Japanese company is making the Red Dwarf product we've all been waiting for: Red Dwarf Curry Vindaloo

You may want to use a google translation if you don't know Japanese.

I used to watch Red Dwarf religously every saturday night @ 11:30pm on my public TV station back east!!! I still have tapes of most of the shows..some I converted into VCDs so I wouldn't lose them (VHS sucks so bad!)

But they don't play reruns here in California!!!!
Hell, they don't play Doctor Who either.. : (

maybe my little woman will be getting me a DVD set for Xmas : ) What seasons do they have on DVD?

Do you have cable?
On KTEH (ch 10 I think) they play repeats every Friday night at 9:00 I think.
I've also seen Dr Who on there occasionally.
Might want to check your listings again.http://img.ranchoweb.com/images/veronica/smiley.gif

None... yet. Series I and II are slated for release in November overseas. We Red Dwarf fans over here in the U.S. won't be able to get ours until February... a bit late for Christmas! Series III and IV and so on are supposed to follow the same pattern.

Does anyone know how much one season on DVD will cost? I might be going to England during spring break, maybe they're cheaper over there.

I would speculate they'll be in the normal range of 2-DVD sets... $20-30? Well worth it considering all the extras they're putting in it.

[EDIT]: Just to clarify, each series is a 2 disc set. So Series I and II will be 4 discs total. Each 2 disc set will probably be $20-30.

That's all well and good, so long as you have a region-free DVD player! Otherwise I would wait for the Region 1 DVD to be released in February. It's only an extra 3 months, and I doubt it will be that much cheaper...

$20-30 isn't bad, I'll gladly spend that money on a quality show such as Red Dwarf.
