Is there a hack enabling higher resolution on PBooks?

No, I don't think there is.

If you mean increase the resolution of the main display then you can't do that. The resolution is limited by the number of pixels. If you mean that of a second display then go to System Preferences and Displays. There you should be able to change the resolution of the second display without a hack.
