wasnt there some sort of hack that let you run the screen saver as the desktop picture in jag?
i found something at resexelence but it hasnt worked for me.
im also running 10.2.1 so they could have fixed it i dunno.
any help is appreciated.

Try this:
nice +20 /System/Library/Frameworks/ScreenSaver.framework/Resources/ScreenSaverEngine.app/Contents/MacOS/ScreenSaverEngine -background &

I think there were actually a couple.
One using Termial and another using an app.

On my powermac g4 450 MHz it lagged up everything unbearably. It is cool but not that cool. Go to www.versiontracker.com/macosx/ and search for 'background screen saver' or something along those lines.

That's because you were using some wimpy utility. You need to use the terminal trick I posted above, that will enable it to share processing power.

i downloaded marine aquarium, but i dont know how to use it. when i go to open it through the fish icon, nothing happens, do i drag it into the screen saver folder ? any help would be appreciated

Hit command shift G in the finder then type in this path: /Users/yourusername/Library/Screen Savers/ and drag the .saver file into that folder. Then go to system prefs and open the screen effects panel and it should be there.
