Sweet deal on a GeForce 2 Ultra

Check this out, a refurbished GeForce 2 Ultra 64mb card for a whopping $92.20. Is newegg out of their minds? They sell Radeon 9800Pros for that price.

I fail to see what is great about this? GeForce 2 Ultra is an old DirectX7 card AGP2X/4X 64MB RAM.

The 9800 is a much better card DirectX9, AGP4X/8X 128MB plus the core speed is double the GeForce.

I don't know who would want this. If it were the Mac version there's a slight possibility of owners of old G4s might want it.

Ya, like I am going to spend $100 on an old, outdated video card. I am going for either an ATI Radeon 9800 Pro SE or ATI Radeon X800XT for my G5. But seeing the GeForce 2 Ultra at that price was great for a a good laugh.

PS- I have 128MB PC133 SDRAM for sale for $250 if your in the mood for another good deal ;)

I don't know why I have to say this but #1 of course I don't really mean it is a "deal" excepting to newegg.com #2 you can flash a lot of video cards to the mac, but there is NO reason to buy this card if you have an old G4, even the new 9800Pro's can fit in an old G4 with little modification.

I suppose I would be remiss if I didn't post the link to the search "9800 pro" from newegg, as you'll see there are lots of 9800 pro cards starting at $99.00 all of which will reflash and work in a mac very well. And in case you were still confused Geforce 2 for $100 != good deal, Radeon 9800 pro for $100 = great deal.
