Question to Mods on inactive users and such

I noticed a few users have popped up that regstered sometimes last year and are only now making their first post, so I visited the members section and there are hoards of inactive members. I was just wondering what is the length of time a user can be inactive before they would have to register again? or do you even have a policy like this?
Oh and how long do inactive posts stay on the forum before they are deleted?

Do you think it would free up space for you guys if you started doing these things arn? space probably isnt even an issue for you guys yet though.:)
