New iBook

Hey everyone,
I am proud of myself I finally one my first item on eBay. It is a iBook 500 with a dvd-rom and 640mb ram. I know that this has probably been asked about a million times before, but i searched and couldn't find anything. How does this iBook preform on Tiger for you guys. Should I stick to Panther?? I figured that going for an iBook with lots of ram that Tiger would run good. Thanks.

My sister has tiger on her iBook. It runs great. I would not worry about the upgrade.

Here's (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=133025) a simliar thread about a G3 iMac but it should be about the same results, if not better.

I would say go for Tiger.

I concur go for Tiger you will probably find it faster than panther, so if you got over 256mb RAM go for it,
