Hi folks...
I have an external Lacie 60gig firewire (or fiyawiya as we say here in Boston) attached to my g4/466/1.2g ram/10.2 mac.
Many of the files I routinely use (too many to store on the main hd) are on the 60gb, but every time I double click to open the disc or folder within, I get the beachball of death, a ten second wait, then it opens up.
I know whining about a 10 second wait is petty, but I'm wondering if there is some setting I might not know about that might change this situation.
I'm a designer, not a tech guy, so please be gentle with explanations...
