I've only heard the famous line "Laugha while you can, monkey boy" other than that, I have no idea what this is.
Can anyone recommend it?

Fun in a warped kinda way, as long as you abandon all expectations of plausibility. You want a plot to make sense, you don't wanna watch this one.

"It's John Big-Bootay!"
Man this movie is great, and by great, I mean ridiculous. Utterly and completely ridiculous. Its one of those movies that don't necessarily have to make sense, you just go with it. And also watch it stoned.

Its a great movie. John Lithgow and Christopher Lloyd as bad guys. Peter Weller and Jeff Goldbloom as good guys.
Where else can you see a rock star, brain surgeon, test pilot.
To bad they never made the sequels.

It's been about a million years since I saw this. Isn't this the movie that spawned the line, "Wherever you go, there you are"?

It's been years since I've seen the movie... I think I've been inspired to rent it this weekend. I don't think my wife or her brother (who's coming to visit for the weekend) have seen it. :D

More than you probably ever wanted to know about Buckeroo (http://imdb.com/title/tt0086856/?fr=c2l0ZT1kZnxteD0yMHxsbT01MDB8dHQ9MXxmYj11fHBuPTB8cT1idWNrZXJvbyBib256YWl8aHRtbD0xfG5tPTE_;fc=1;ft =5;fm=1) :
Haven't seen this film since it came out, but I remember it being not quite as funny as I'd hoped or expected. An instant cult classic, though, in the tradition of Dark Star (http://imdb.com/title/tt0069945/?fr=c2l0ZT1kZnxteD0yMHxsbT01MDB8dHQ9MXxmYj11fHBuPTB8cT1kYXJrIHN0YXJ8aHRtbD0xfG5tPTE_;fc=1;ft=21;fm=1 ). I must be one of about eight people who've seen that one.

Oh I lived everywhere from Freedom to Boulder Creek. My parents live in Aptos still, but I really loved the mountains. Plus it was nice to live walking (or stumbling) Distance from the BC Brewery. :p
And when my wife and I were still dating she lived a stone's throw from what was then Henfling's. We could sit on her porch and listen to the music. Ah good times.

true that bro...it is so kine outside right now, it's about 75 degrees out and clear and sunny...gettin ready to take my daily bike ride up to the Lane and see what's happenin...Don't get me wrong I love the mountains too, I have lived up on different areas of Summit Rd, Mount Madonna and the Hazel Dell foothills in Corralitos...As you know, nothing is finer than enjoying a nice cool pint of BCB's Redwood Ale in the Redwoods of BC, getting ready for a choice band to come on (Strictly Roots, Dread Zeppelin, or any number of other local bands)...We are truly spoiled in S.C., we get the mountains and the ocean...lol...

Over where? This movie can be purchased at Amazon for little more than a rental price. They also have Dark Star...
