Just out of curiosity when the new g5's came out did they replace all of the old ones in the apple stores?

There is usually a lag time between the announcement of a new Mac and the arrival at the local Apple Store. It seems that the timing varies with each store. As far as know all the Mac's are currently new at my local store. They've had the 2.7 since before the Tiger release.

Dual 2.7's were announced (officially) on April 27th (http://www.macrumors.com/pages/2005/04/20050427090437.shtml). Tiger was released on April 29th (http://www.macrumors.com/pages/2005/04/20050429211522.shtml).

Sometimes a store will have one or two old ones in the back. They sell for at a slight discount.

I remember Apple having rev. B PowerBooks on display for months after the rev. C's were out. I always thought it was funny, because even Apple realized the new models weren't noticeably faster than the old ones.
