not sure of the model of motherboard, but i know it was around 120 from newegg.com

Update - he has my Mac but still has not shipped his end of the deal for over a week.

This is getting a little rediculous, I shipped right after the weekend but no go from this guy for over a week, just excuses. I will keep the folks here updated. :(

Are you really that naive to ship your computer to someone you don't know? For your sake, I hope he ships the PC to you but honestly, I don't think he will. I would assume you would have used an escrow service or something of the sort..or traded in person. You seem like a chap who trusts people easily.. which isn't really that good in these times!

Sorry for being so damn slow, I'm on vacation and yes the machine has shipped with a valid tracking number. I can't unpack it until I get back, which will be several days after UPS will attempt a delivery. Just bad timing that's all.

Yeah, I'm with others here. Would only trade with people on MR under strict circumstances. A main one being the amount of time I've seen them on the forums. Definitely wouldn't trade with a newbie. I'd tend to trust big names like Arn, Edesignuk, Doctor Q (Sorry to other people I haven't mentioned, there are too many ;) )

Well this deal has gone south pretty fast - the processor was verified by my friend to be a 3.06Ghz/533Mhz FSB unit and not a 3.6Ghz/800Mhz FSB P4, it's running on an eMachines motherboard, in an eMachines case, with an eMachines-supplied power supply, and video cards that don't work. I was told that the only thing eMachines in this was the case, and it had a Seasonic power supply, working dual video cards, etc.

Luckily, part of the money was included in the box.

I was also told this was a PCI Express motherboard. It is not, it's a bone-stock eMachines PCB that doesn't even have an AGP slot. :mad:

I'm really fried by this trade, R-Bones has already sold the Mac also and is supposedly working on getting me the rest of the money. Since I was told the money obtained from the Mac has been spent on some car, it's now a waiting game to get what I traded for.

I just hope I can get my fair share when all is said and done. I will post updates later.

Of personal info, find out what kind of person they are before you trade with them! Or you'll end up like this guy and have no Powermac and no Money.

that really sucks, i vouched for him because a trade with me and him went fine......but lately i been hearing problems about him in trades, he goes to this other forum at http://forums.skateperception.com/index.php? and looks like he been slacking there too with lying and stuff.....

And the last deal I herd about was about an 3rd generation IPOD i traded him.....when i traded it to him i told him i didnt test it out because i dont have a charger for the ipod. i got the ipod from my friend for free, but didnt get any cables, or chargers....etc.... but anyways i told him that i think the lcd and battery needed to be replaced. Then he told me the ipod powered up when he had got it. Then in his last deal in the other forums he sold the ipod the this other board memer and told the person that the only thing needs to be replace is the lcd.....days went buy and the guy got it fixed.....then he im'd r-bones and told him it doesnt power up..... and the person who baught the ipod from r-bones im'd me, saying that I told R-bones that only the lcd was broken, wich isnt true because i remember telling him that i think that theres more then just a broken lcd and dead battery. and then the person who baught the ipod from me told me the whole story and i told him my side and he knows that r-bones has been lying. personally he was good for me but if he's gonna scam i wont vouch for him anymore. i hate scammers and liers!!!!! :mad:
