Can i remove garage band? If so how?

You can only remove it if you don't want it. If you don't want it, drag it to the trash can.

While you're at it, you could delete the Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Garageband folder (which contains all the Apple Loops for GarageBand) and the Macintosh HD/Users/Shared/GarageBand Demo Songs folder (which [duh] contains a whole bunch of GarageBand demo songs) - thus freeing up roughly 2.8GB of otherwise wasted HD space.
Of course, this assumes that you're not planning to use those Apple Loops with any other audio applications like Logic.
