My wife was looking at a mag this weekend that showed Alicia Keys' Powerbook, along with her other stuff. No iPod, but an XM Radio Receiver.

There was a thread earlier showing Billy Corgan's Mac.

What show is the "L-Word?"

EDIT: You'll notice a lot, lot, lot of Apple hardware on TV. But often, you will see custom screens that were done in some Linux skin or something. It's all about the look. Of all the hardware, Apple has the look, so that's what you see on TV. It's a good life. :)

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that is the actual title of the show, and the "L-word" itself is Lesbian and/or Love, and it is a show about Lesbian Love. Someone will enlighten us both I'm sure.

I'm pretty sure Tom Clancy is a Mac user as I seem to vaguely remember a quote by him I saw on here. Something about not asking someone what kind of system they have, they'll tell you if it's a Mac and if not you don't want to make a fool of them.

Don't know if it counts as true celebrity or not, but The Real World used to feature Macs as the house computers; I remember one year they had a Cube.

Other than that, I don't recall.

I remember reading Mr. Sutherland (Jack Bauer him self) uses Macs and goes into the Apple store asking 100 questions and says thank you about 10 times for each response.

Its so funny, on the show Jack Bauer is this tech savy son of a gun, whos hacking away all the time and talking about compressions and decryption and all that nonsense, when in fact Ive read so many times that hes a computer illiterate

On this side of the pond... Miserygut musicians Coldplay are all said to be fans – it was rumoured that our favourite computer company provided the inspiration when he was looking for a name for his daughter, Apple.

Douglas Adams was a big Apple fan (it's said he was the first person in the UK to buy one – how accurate that is I don't know but he was certainly a very early adopter). Stephen Fry is also another devotee.

phish.....the ipod completely changed one of their concerts....they said in an interview they got every concert they ever played loaded on to their ipods and the re-discovered some songs they forgot they had and played them all at the next concert. they also set up a mac tent at one of their festivals 2 years ago with like 15imacs that let users download songs from the phish catalogue and burn them to cds for free (the line was hours long)

also, beck talked about his in an article in the NYTimes magazine a few motnhs ago, and i saw him in concert the other day and they used one on stage to control the "dj aspect" of it

Spooks- every single machine in Spooks is a Mac. complete with iSights.
Coronation Street- Dev used to have a G3 iMac in the background of his old flat
Last rights- The prime ministers right hand man had his laptop stolen, spent 3 episodes getting it back. t'was a 17" PowerBook
Hollyoaks- Mandy and Tony Hutchinson hav what seems to be a 14" iBook

funny. Spooks is mean to be slick stylish. Dev is the "rich" one of the street. same for Mandy and Tony.

Don't know, if anyone here has seen "One Tree Hill," but they have Macs all over it. Peyton (a character on the show) owns a cinema display and isight. She also started a podcast this year, which you can get on iTunes.

In Karen's cafe (on the show), they have iMac G5s, but stickers cover the Apple logo. I've also seen iBooks and Powerbooks on there, plus iPods.

Furthermore, I read in a diary entry on Bethany Joy Lenz's website (one of the show's stars and a talented musician) that she has a Powerbook G4.

The 1998-2002 show, Felicity, had Mac talk form time to time. Noel was a big Mac nerd on the show, and he had an iMac. Furthermore, when his girlfriend came to visit (who was played by Jennifer Garner), he became upset, when she said she got a PC, and he pointed out "yeah, they're fine after they ripped off the Mac operating system."

On UPN, it's rather fun spotting the Apples.

"Girlfriends" used an iPod as part of the plot in the episode two weeks ago.

On "Half and Half," Macs are everywhere. In the offices, at home, etc.

On "Veronica Mars," she is always using her Powerbook to do this or that. Plus one episode used a Shuffle in a plot twist.

And on America's Next Top Model, they always use a G5 to edit the photography in-studio. I've also seen Powerbooks and iMacs alongside it on the table.

And in "Elizabethtown," I think every computer shown was an Apple.

I was watching tv and i saw a nine inch nails video and the whole video their was a powerbook running the itunes visualization.

Yep, thats the video for Only. Not sure if it's the iTunes vis or not. Trent Reznor's known to be an avid Mac user too

Yep, I love how on the show he uses real Mac OS X instead of Hollywood OS. He also has a line about releasing something he said on iTunes.

Anyone know about the rich....they can be the same as celebrity. Just curious what rich people/families use, if anyone knows or has examples. The 251st richest guy in the UK (he owns what little of Cambridge that the University doesn't) uses a PowerBook

Have I mentioned the keyboardist from Children Of Bodom?

On the Martha Stewart Apprentice (please don't tease me, I've only seen a few episodes) all of the computers/monitors I have seen were all Apples.
This would lead me to believe that this is her computer of choice.

On the contrary, that would lead me to believe Apple paid them for product spots, or that Martha/producers decided/realized that the Apple displays simply look better. I don't see major ties between what we see and what they use....Apple has 'the look'.
