Is taht the really slim grey one?

How long ago did you buy it? Any pics?

Also, has anyone dealt with this user before?

Does it work well?

Are you including any neccecary cables, power, whatever?

Also, if you could tell me, does this thing get loud when you read and write ;x

I have a home-made one. It's a NEC 3520A (http://support.necsam.com/oem/cd-rom/nd3520a.asp) in a Bytecc 5.25" Aluminum Enclosure (http://www.byteccusa.com/product/enclosure/ME-340.htm). If you are interested I could take some pictures myself.

i originally bought that lacie about 6 months ago. its not loud at all, and its supported by everything apple (iApps, Pro apps, disc copy etc..) and even classic. it also supports both + and - r's. lovely little drive i must say and out of over 100 dvd's i got one coaster and i think that was only because i was doing 30 other things at the same time. but yes, i say buy but thats just me.

Supported natively? Or through patch burn? FYI, The new Lacie drives use NEC hardware.

I have that same LaCie drive, except mine is a 52x CD/RW drive instead of a DVD drive. It is solidly built, quiet and very nice. OS X supports it 100% right out of the box.

I know, I wasn't offering it to you. :D
