Hey
I know this is crazy, trying to see a pc laptop on a mac site, but i am a mac user mainly and have a 2 week old
IBM Thinkpad X40
256MB Ram
30GB HD
Win XP Professional
Wireless of course
Intel Pentium M ULV(ultra low voltage) 1.1 GHZ machine
Software included: Adobe Photoshop, Nero Burning Rom, Microsoft Office XP/2003.(tell me which one you want, i have copies of both) Itunes, Picasa(photo)
Gigabit Ethernet
2 USB 2.0 and one Dual powered USB 2.0 port for external DVD burners etc.
IBM Ultradock X4, New, without keys though, With docking port and those connections and a Slim drive port for drives and such stuff as extra battery/hard drive
IBM Ultraslim DVD/CDRW Reads dvds at 8x and burns cds/rws at 24x/16x.
3-4hr battery life
2.5 pounds, 2.5 pounds.
12.1 inch ultrabright display
Magnesium alloy case, Ibm Active Protection technology(dropping your machine will shut the hd off) in addition it has all big blues great support technology such as access ibm which allows you to take all ur files, patch windows and fix it or reinstall it if there ever is a problem without actually activating windows and includes it all in the unit without a seperate hard drive.
On top of that
3 year warranty expires end of 2007/beginning of 2008. includes walk in, home service and full parts/labor.

IBM Thinkpad X40 2371 was 1850 +tax when bought
Ultradock: 199 new/150 refurb from ibm.com
Slim drive: 160 new.

Asking if it interested in purchase: 1300 shipped Or best offer.

Trade: 12 inch Ibook or 12 inch pbook, nothing bigger please and no desktops(already have a packed setup)

This is a great really small machine and the only reason i am really interested in trading or selling it is that i hate adobe premier(not included) and this machine cant handle it and i want os x anyways.

Feel free to ask me any questions

Thanks

Can you confirm that the included software will have the original CDs/DVDs?

Windows Xp profesisonal is confirmed and included on the IBM ACCESS Drive the Adobe Photoshop is academic licensed/site licensed download, i have ownership/paid for 3 yr license copy of it, it is a downloadable copy, but you can go to adobe.com and look under licensing terms, licensed through my school and job. everything comes with license that is authentic.

Can you confirm that the included software will have the original CDs/DVDs?

I've sent PM / email; let's talk...

what wireless option does this have? looking at the IBM website you can get 802.11b only (silly); 802.11b/g or 802.11a/b/g

Does it have the bluetooth option?

What is this missing "key" you mention with the dock?

I'm very interested in working out a trade for my G4 iBook.

it has b/g wireless, the key is with the dock but it does not affect putting on or removing the computer from the dock, only securing it
bluetooth is not built in and cant be, but u can buy a usb bluetooth device for it
