I think it makes sense to split them into iPod, Mini, and Shuffle.
Don't get all bent out of shape because no one replied. This section of the forum hardly gets any action being at the bottom of the page and all.

I agree, it would be very misleading if the shuffle was updated one day to tell people to BUY NOW on a other version that hasn't been updated in a year.

for the record:
... Don't get all bent out of shape ...
my bumps were deleted ... and since no one replied this became a useless thread
the deletion of the bumps gave me the idea that this thread should be deleted
I had no emotional response (I didn't "get bent out of shape") to the failure of the thread, I just proceeded in (as I understood it) a logical progression: I asked 3 times
then concluded that no one cared
noticed that they didn't care so much that the 2nd two bumps were deleted
then concluded that the whole thread should just be deleted.
It already says on the Guide that the lines should be split in the guide, so I expect it will happen someday. I know it's just someone probably volunteering their time, and I am not trying to rush anyone.
I was just curious when ... no big deal.
(I still think this whole thread should just be deleted so we can all just forget about it and get (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=135171) back (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=138243) to (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=135657) better (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=137295) topics (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=138046))

It's an excellent idea. I mean all the other Apple hardware products are really kind of bunched together when they get updated (powermacs, displays, servers, etc.) but the iPod's diversity has continued to grow without a change. Even just showing all three models with the timelines & news would be great, no need to seperate them completely.
