Pushing "Student Union" promo hard?

Honestly, I haven't really noticed in the past, if retail Apple stores really pushed those education-oriented promotions that hard, but I just went into a store last night, and all the employees are wearing bright green Student Union shirts, all the monitors are displaying the rebate, there were posters, and the theater in the back was also showing information about the promo. Is this standard for promos like this?

I think the apple store employees look better in black, though. Eh.

from what i've observed, apple works with focused merchandising, so they deck the store out with the most important promotion that week/month/season. it's a smart move actually, because your promotion sells itself, and it is subtler and more engaging than someone waving rebate forms in your face.
