Today at a meeting here at Gateway, we were told that last year we had 88% of all computers shipped actually work out of the box. This year so far the number has been a little better at 90%. Is this the norm?!? This sounds like a rather high number of DOA machines to me. I mean come on 10-12% is a lot of computers, can you say quality control. Anybody have any idea what the DOA rates on Dell or Apple are? Comment at will...
