probably an older version. I wouldn't expect to see 10.4.2 pre-installed for at least another month or two.

Shouldn't be a big deal. Just download the update if it's not 10.4.2

That will probably depend on when they put it together. It will certainly have a version of tiger so 10.4.2 is only a few worry-free clicks away.
