Where I used to live there were ticks all over the place.

Probably the wierdest place I ever found one was in my bellybutton.http://img.ranchoweb.com/images/veronica/eek21.gif

When I was little, my brother got one in his ear. I've never had one, but found them crawling on me and knocked them off.

What brought on this post, btw?

OW! How did you remove it? Were you camping at the time? Man, that's nasty, ugh!

There was an English explorer in Africa in the 1800s who had a beetle or something crawl into his ear. It drove him absolutely crazy (imagine something in your ear making a lot of noise!) so he grabbed a sharp, pointy something and jabbed it, killing the bug, but also deafening him - most likely piercing his ear drum.

I was vacationing in Colombia, riding a horses in shorts when I was about 12. Well, later that night I noticed I had a tick stuck in that special place. I told my mom, and my uncle came with a lighter, and "warmed" me up until the tick finally came out.

Even the cartoon was pretty damn good. I'll have to see if those are on DVD yet, it'd be a good thing to have in the collection....

There isn't a DVD set now, but I just found a petition (http://www.petitiononline.com/dvdtick/petition.html) for it.

My barber found it in my head, heated a knife to get it out. My dad was very embarrased! :)

Stop talking about Tock, he's a psycho.

And he's always tocking, you can never shut him up, at least until he winds down or his battery dies.

i don't know what's worse; this thread or the jokes that followed. but i will say that seeing the name of this thread was even more arresting than seeing the "official poop thread"

I've only had one run-in with those little buggers so far. I was in Colorado and probably 13 or 14. I don't remember going anywhere with a lot of foliage or anything, but when we got back to the hotel and I took my shower, I looked down at my white washcloth and saw this dark little thing. Upon closer examination, much to my horror it was a tick (hadn't ever seen one before that).

Luckily I got it early, so I'll never know where it tried to make its home. But boy I'll tell you I never scrubbed myself more repetitively and thoroughly than after that... :p

I had a tick on my nuts!! I was working in the yard and came in to shower when to my suprise,,, I felt this thing "down there". I got a mirror and looked,,,,then almost passed out. The worst part is that my wife had to get it off me. God I love her:rolleyes:
