My powerbook recently died on me due to a spillage, and I'm looking to harvest its organs. I was wondering if anyone has some instructions on how to remove the internal hard drive (I think it's undamaged) and convert it to an external hard drive. I want to retain the data, and am unsure if the the OS on it (OS X.4) will interfere when I connect it to my iMac. I mainly want to transfer my music and iChat files, as I have everything else backed up.
So, what kind of external hard drive casing should I buy? And is there anything else I need?

Here (http://www.xlr8yourmac.com/powerbook_g4/PB_G4_HD_upgrade/pb_g4_hd_upgrade.html) is a guide for the Titanium Powerbook and removing the hard drive. Which PB do you have?

Linkety (http://www.whoopis.com/computer_repair/) and a 2.5" hard drive enclosure should work.

What Tibook do you have. I'm in need of a upper case for a DVI Tibook.

I have the 15 in. DVI titanium powerbook. However, my upper case has a slight crack on the front part of it, so I don't think you'd want it. Sorry. :)
