PowerBook G3 Lombard Open GL under X? (Quake 3)

I just got Tiger installed on my PB G3 Lombard, it has a 333 G3 and 512MB RAM. Works fine. Since I was able to run Quake 3 on 9.2 I tried the X version and I get an error that I do not have Open GL capable card in my system. Anything I can do to get Q3 to run?

how did you do this?
install from CD or DVD? etc
i got a g3/333 pb too and want to whack tiger on it when i get the new iMacs in a coupla weeks.
