I'm planning to buy a new external HD and was looking at LaCie at first since I already have LaCie 250GB D2 Triple interface running strong for about 5mths. I found a pretty good deal for this 500GB HD $320 and was thing to buy it but then I started to read reviews here and there and people saying this Extreme HDs has big potentials to crash and cause other problems (such as Kernel errors). From what I've heard most of the Windows users having crash (lost of data problems) where most of Mac users having Kernel issues.
I was wondering if somebody has/had any experience with those. I would like to hear some comments.
