I'm looking for a spare AC cord for my PowerBook charger (you know, the adapter that you can put on your charger to make it longer). Does anyone have one that they're willing to part with?

When you say "it will work with that" does that mean it's not from an actual Apple adapter? Do you have a pic?

The cord part has no compatibility issues. You can use it on anything Apple currently makes (if it fits, it'll work :D)

no it is from apple
it just came with an ibook but it will work no problems with your powerbook

Thanks for the pic. Are you sure that will work with my adapter? It seems like the end piece is a smaller on your cord. I can't tell, does the plug have 3 prongs?

yo-yo adapter?
or square adapter?

This one only works with the square

You need to be careful. All newer powerbooks use a 3-prong adaptor and won't accept a 2-prong one for grounding reasons

How do I get one from Apple? On the website my only option is to buy an entire charger for $79.

It's a repair part. You can call Apple or go to your nearest Apple store, and they should be able to hook you up with one.

Thank you everyone who suggested I go through Apple. I went to my local Apple store yesterday and one of the geniuses gave me a new cord for free. Score!
