Hello? Whats going on here? Are we being censored?

I totally agree that the commercials suck. Especially the one where the woman talks about 'saving Christmas.' She looked like such a dork when she imitates plugging the camera into the computer. What a stupid commercial.

It wasn't deleted, it was just closed. There is a big difference there.

As for why, well, you'll have to ask arn, he did it.

And as for being sensored, well, it happens from time to time, for obvious reasons mostly.

Obvious reasons? What were the obvious reasons?

It was in the GENERAL Mac Discussion area, and was a lively conversation with a lot of good opinions, and a couple links to good articles. Just because arn is offended or whatever, it doesnt mean it should be closed.

No one was even using harsh language for crying out loud!

I can't answer that - but you've been here for almost a year now and you know that arn is fair and openminded. If he chose to close it down it was for a good reason. If you're really that unhappy, email or pm arn and talk to him about it.

Naw, I was just more upset that I had to make a new thread to respond to the thread. It clutters up MR more than anything.

Anyway, no big deal. I just dont want to see MR super-censored. Sometimes hearing people's opinions makes you think, even when you completely disagree.

As long as its gets you to think, then there's a purpose.

The thread kept going off topic... people kept posting crap like "this post is going nowhere fast..." or something... I deleted those posts and then decided it wasn't worth salvaging the thread and closed it.

You guys can talk about hating the Apple commercials - that's fine... but if it starts spiraling into off-topic comments, then the posts will be closed.

If you'd like, you can start a new thread in the appropriate location about how much you dont' like the commercials... :)

Alrighty then.

Its not so much the concept of the commercials, its the mannerisms (sp?) of the actors/people. Especially the Christmas girl. Yuck
