Reading PC CDR on G4

I burned a CDR off my old pc (yamaha 16x10x40) and I can't read it or see it in the desktop when I put it in my G4 w/ superdrive. Is there a program I can use to read it on my mac. Am I not setting up the disk to burn correctly from my pc to be readable on my mac. Using adaptec direct CD. I don't have Toast on my mac, would that help.

directcd has never caused me anything but problems.

have you closed the cd yet??

if not that would be the number one thing to try.
