Well, my first (well, first while I'm starting) is tomorrow. We open the season at home, against Ramona High School. I'm a little nervous, just ready to play. I was starting to get fidgity yesterday, and it only gets worse until the first snap of the game.
Anyone else here starting up?

I'm a varsity Quarterback. Really nervous, doubt I will sleep much tonight, but I hope I am rested for tomorrow.
Should be an article from our local paper online about the team tomorrow, I will give a link if they put one up. If not, Saturday there will be one on our game.

Nah, I don't have the build for College ball. Maybe a D2 school, or a JC, but nothing major.
I'm about 5'11, 175. I am fast, have a decent arm, but I don't think I am college material.

I'm so glad it's here. Arkansas starts of tomorrow and is just going to wreck shop on this wannabe teams for the first couple of games. And now it's even better with ESPN, CBS, and ABC all in HD in my room. It's like I'm actually at the game.

Well, we won. Started the game out with a 30 yard pass, first play. Scored 4 plays later. We won 38-7, they scored in the last 5 minutes. I'm happy, little tired.
Had 2 touchdown passes called back on a hold and clipping. Sucks.

Perhaps you should look at schools that aren't BIG10(11) or PAC10 or ACC etc.
Like say the MAC. MAC schools are Division 1-A schools and have a reputation of making the "big" schools pay for their oversight of good players because they had their "perfect" choices.
People like Ben Rothelisberger, Josh Harris, Omar Jacobs, Cole Magner, Michael Turner and more.
I wouldn't count out College Ball if you don't want too but I would definitely look at other schools besides Michigan, OSU, Oklahoma, etc if you follow me.

It's funny to me to see ACC listed as a football 'elite' conference.. :D

Dam Americans, atleast call it American Football, since it is not really football.
Football is played with the foot.

Yeah, but VT, miami, and FSU are all newbies, and tech and UVA aren't exactly historic powerhouses. Basically, the ACC became a football powerhouse because other schools wanted to get in on its basketball powerhouse action.

Yeah.. as a Duke graduate, before this insane influx into the ACC, it was NOT the 'elite' conference is it now.. Maryland, Virginia, Carolina, and NCState have always had pretty good programs, with GT as an so-so, and Wake & Duke just plain sucking. A Lot. Did I miss anyone? Clemson. IMO, a so-so program that is good more then bad.

I've probably done the reverse about as many times. I don't think of it as particularly a big deal, though. I like both sports.

I think the ACC really can be called an elite conference. (I'm a VA Tech fan, BTW.) In this part of the country, everybody talks about how tough the SEC is, but I think the ACC is a better football conference (than the SEC) this year, and they were close last year.

Yep, I threw a quick curl to the receiver, he was running down field, and a tightend on our team pushed a linebacker from their team in the back. Called it back, really sucks.

Yeah, my Dad was a QB at Michigan (Wolverines), and I know a little bit about the size difference in College. I mean, its insane. I would get killed. Im fast and stuff, got a decent arm, but I really don't have the size.

Given that I live in Chicago and the White Sox are kicking butt, the last thing on my mind is football. Go Sox!
But I digress. Good luck to you MacAztec! As a former high school varsity jock myself-get it done! :)

That's beat.. I hope your coach made him run laps chanting, "I will not block in the back".

Haha, the new saying now is "Get 'er done", in a manly voice. A coach we had used to say it.
