I'm currently playing WoW on my PC, but would like to switch to a Mac. Would I be able to continue with my character or do i have to start all over? Do Mac players have a dedicated server?

Thanks in advance!

You won't have to start a new character and you'll be using the same servers as everyone else.

Yeah, blizzard always does that. They always ship Hybrid disks, and they support both PC and Macs. And they try to make them network compatible.

I love how Blizzard has made games almost fully compatible with both Mac and PC. They have also managed to make some of the most addictive games of all time. I wish every game company could make there games cross compatible from the start.

I have a feeling its in early development a while back they hired some bug name guy who did some other RTS games and started asking people what they would want in a SC II. Also I think there was some talk about some korean blizzard guy saying something about a late 2007 launch, but I could be wrong.

Only problem is no TeamSpeak :(.
The developers of TeamSpeak are creating a mac version, though dunno wtf is going on with that.

I thought that's what World of Warcraft was ;)

In all seriousness, what would make Diablo 3 different, other than the names they gave dungeons?

I didn't have issues at all w/ Izual (getting Mephisto's brain) but Lillith (sp?) took forever and multiple player swaps to find the best character to kill (to get Diablo's tiny horn).

Yes, they've been 'working' on the OSX port for about two years now.

It'll never happen.

Why? Because they make more money than god from selling seats to servers - that's why.

Also, last I heard - Blizzard stated that there would not be sequels to 'Diablo' and 'Starcraft' - since the teams don't exist anymore, etc.

You could always hope for a Mac port of Hellgate: London, as it could in some ways be seen a spirtual successor to Diablo.

While It's currently being developed as a PC-only title, a Mac version might not be too far fetched.

We do come from a tradition of supporting the Mac with our games, and we will certainly be keeping such a great,
passionate base of gamers in our thoughts as the game progresses.

It's being made by Flagship Studios (ex-Blizzard employees).

I would be very surprised if they didn't have a Starcraft-based game at some point (not Ghost), either something like Warcraft III or possibly a World of Starcraft using the WoW engine. Even if the "team" no longer exists, I don't see how that'd preclude them from starting it up again.

they stated they are not working on them at the moment, though their are mumbleings of diablo 3 in the works, if they could use the WoW engine and make the whole game more instance focused and make the inventory like the diablo 2 one maybe they could use two sides the hell demons and the good guys each start from other ends of the dungeons.

The official Ghost FAQ says otherwise.

The official Ghost FAQ says otherwise.

The Blizzard North team was some time ago relocated (ie, "merged" with Blizzard "South"). Some might see that as a bad sign, though I don't think (or at least hope) it will have much practical effect... since no one, as far as I know, lost their jobs in the process.. maybe except if they didn't want to movie.
