Looking for a digital voice recorder.....

Basically I am looking for a inexpensive digital voice recorder that is compatible with OS X Tiger. I am will be using it for my Podcast. Also could i use the Giffin iTalk on my iPod. If so does anyone know of a Podcast that uses iTalk so that I could listen to the quality.

iTalk only catches good audio within about 3 or 4 feet, but other than that it is good sounding. I used it with my old iPod to record staff meetings. Picked up my voice just fine )good crisp sound), but not my staff on the other side of the table...
