I've just made a DVD game of Rock Paper Scissors, and well, now need to drum up some excitement about it.

here's the link: http://www.fistsoffire.com

It's like a traditional fighting game such as Street Fighter or mortal kombat, ...but its Rock Paper Scissors. There's a mode to challenge each opponent in a tournament format or just do straight up VS. mode. Works in all DVD players and you actually physically play against your TV. The whole thing was made on a mac too... After Effects and DVD Studio Pro.

cheers,
_scott

That's hilarious. Though, i haven't really seen a niche for DVD-driven computerized rock-paper-scissors.

Looks pretty cool, but you spelled "trailer" wrong on the home page. You might want to fix that.

That's pretty clever and all... but $18 is pretty steep for something like this. I mean, full featured blockbuster movies cost less than that, and they cost $100 million to produce... Just my opinion, but something like this may sell better for $5-7.

Neat though!

Yes, some "hot coffee content" would undoubtedly boost your sales. And you could always claim that it wasn't there when it shipped ;)

It's a crazy idea, but may I say, that it does look visually very good. If anyone could drag Rock Paper Scissors into the 21 century, you the man.

What the hell is that... there wasent any porn in it.

Small suggestion. What you should do like is have hot naked ladies doing the Rock Paper Scissors thing.. but instead of Rock Paper Scissors they just have sex instead.

:D

j/k

I like the idea, but I agree that the price maybe a bit high. For $9.99 I might buy it for giggle factor.

Thanks for all the reasonable feeback people.

Sorry there's no porn, we wanted it to be friendly for all ages... but I imagine if you we so inclined to find your own lovely and willing ladies, a round of Strip RPS could easy be had.

thanks for the trialer snag... now trailer.

cheers,

Glad that you too the comments constructively.

Any hopes that you all will be able to relook at your development costs in order to lower the price?

This game would totally sell in Japan. They can't stop playing rock-paper-scissors. It was so f#@&ing annoying...And 18 bucks would not be a problem for them. Regular DVDs average $35-50.
