College shut down gaming ports-sockscap equivalent for mac?

Hello everyone,

My college campus has shut down the gaming ports which has become the bane of many students these days (don't get me started on our school's admin, he is a nightmare to deal with and asking him to open the ports is like talking to a brick wall). On my PC I was able to bypass this new firewall using the combination of sockscap and http-tunnel. It works to some degree but I still can't figure out what to do on my wife's mac.

I should be able to use the socks proxy function of mac networking to force it to use my computer as a proxy, but I need some equivalent of sockscap for mac so that I can force World of Warcraft to send the correct ports in a socks chain. A few Mac programs natively support SOCKS, but I cannot find anything that will allow me to "socksify" WoW. I spent several hours looking for a program similar to sockscap for mac and came up empty. Can anyone suggest anything?

Not sure if this would work for you, but I think some routers support port forwarding...if so, something along that line perhaps?

Sockscap seems to be a socks client for firewall ... I don't know if you really need sockscap because there's a socks proxy setting in the Network preference pane.

Or maybe try Pipeline, if you need to run a socks server:

From my experience with university firewalls, http tunneling works to get past them. It sounds like what is making your connection work is an HTTP tunnel.

So what I think you can do is use this:

Or google for VPN tunneling software for Mac OS X. Should work a treat.
