I was curious to see how many people are addicted to macrumors and how much time we spend on it. Since I am fairly new to the community, I am sure that a thread like this has already been done, but I thought that I might give it another go 'round.

I would guestimate an average of 30 minutes a day.

I spend several hours a day on the forums - luckily the job is kind of light at the moment. I have been gone for a couple weeks before (when things get busy) but the community keeps me here.

At least once a day if not twice, and probably an average of an hour a day.

I own a Mac and use one at work as well (the only 1 in a business of a few hundred pc's). I can certainly work on a PC, but will pay premium price for a Mac because they rule, although I haven't had the money for about 5 years - still stuck with a beige G3 (was super fast when I bought it!!). I think an ibook will be next - great value... super design

But alas - I dream, and will continue to spend an hour a day browsing this site until my wife smashes my external modem.

Bring on the G5, or 970, or hammer - anything !!

Its curious to see that there are different levels of addiction here - non fiction is not much of a poster, but shows up for a good amount of time everyday, while I am here posting just as much as I am reading.

And I think anyone with an average of 5 or more posts a day is automatically given Addicted to MacRumors status....

Hy name is Drastik, and I might be an addict.

Macrumors is my break at work, my litle place to get away from the rest of the web. My post count is pretty low, and I don't log on as much when I'm not working, but I would say I hit the site around once and hour, maybe twice. Mainly I read, or just scan the topics for the ones I'm following.

The problem is, I'm an info junkie. I love macrumors, I consider it the best community on the web. However, I also check the Times and Post compulsively, do minor fix work to my site all day, and keep tabs on abiout ten blogs now (eleven counting mine).

Ah information, if loving you is wrong, I don't want to be right.

I visit the site daily for a few hours, more when the job is slow (thanks Gateway!! :cool: ). I mostly just lurk around in the shadows and occasionally add my comments. It has been nearly a year now and I'm looking forward to this year's rumors. I think it will be a great year for Apple and us Mac users.
